Our House Alzheimer's Unit
Our House is a unique 17-bed Alzheimer’s Unit adjacent to Bradford Ecumenical Home. Our House welcomed our first residents in October 2005. Our philosophy of care is to provide a social medical model for residents with Alzheimer’s or other related dementia that promotes independence in activities of daily living.
We offer family style dining with linen tablecloths and napkins. Our Restorative Nursing program encourages the residents to maintain as much independence as possible.
We provide a caring, safe environment for all of our residents. Our House offers the freedom of movement with our indoor continuous walking paths. We have structured life-affirming activity program. Our neighborhood memorabilia shadow boxes allow for individualization for each resident. These offer a world of knowledge and share our resident’s life stories.
